Finding The Hidden Gems in a Touristy Picture: A Lisbon Story

Hello, everyone! My name is Dante Janssens, and I am the founder of Perlagente. I take all the pictures featured on the site, and each week, I will share the story behind one of them.

Lisbon is one of those cities that is overflowing with sun, making it easy to capture very touristy and sellable pictures. That's why I challenged myself to find those hidden gems that aren't photographed too often.

"UPHILL" is not one of those hidden gems. The tram featured in the picture might be the most photographed spot in Lisbon. However, I still felt like I should include it in the collection.

Although the picture itself is not a hidden gem, there are still things to be discovered in every pixel of the frame. If you take a look inside the tram, you can see a man walking precisely in the shot. On the right side of the tram, a whole photoshoot is taking place. On the left side of the tram, three men are having their daily briefing.

You see, while the environment may look familiar to you, everyone has a different experience or perspective of it. You just have to find out what your take on it is.
