Hello everyone! My name is Dante Janssens, and I am the founder of Perlagente. I take all the pictures featured on the site. Each week, I will share the story behind one of these pictures.
Whenever I see photo's of Milan it are always those very sunny pictures that show a city full of color.
Now, you would think we wanted it to be the sunny city that was promised, but in this case, this wasn't true. For me, I love to capture a city that isn't like the stereotype that city has been stuck on. In a way, it offers a different perspective to something that has been seen by so many people over the years.
This photo is what celebrates that different perspective to me. It is in a simplistic way just a man crossing a road, but if you take a deeper look and get a different perspective of the photo, you would be able to create your own story to it.
For me, this story is about a man who keeps on going no matter what his road ahead looks like. While the other people wait their turn, he takes that risk and just goes for it.
You see, patience can bring you great things, but sometimes you just gotta take that risk.
