Hello everyone! My name is Dante Janssens, and I am the founder of Perlagente. I take all the pictures featured on the site. Each week, I will share the story behind one of these pictures.
Zurich is a city that will give you the feeling of a winter wonderland. With the beautiful white mountains overlooking it and the old structures of the city, it is like a fairy tale for every tourist visiting the city.
My first impression of the city was exactly that. Personally, I had never searched up Zurich or thought much about it, but it surprised me a lot. I realized that capturing this feeling in a frame was an essential shot for the series.
This photo is that shot. I was walking on a bridge when I saw a beautiful view of the mountains, with trams passing through the frame and little boats on the left. It is a wonderful sight to see.
This is my personal favorite of the series, with a powerful composition that captures what the city is known for, which is exactly what it is to me - a wonderful winter fairytale.
